To improve potable water supply to Marana Leprosarium [L’ECAR Hopital Hansenian sis à Marana-Fianarantsoa], we suggest the construction of the following potable water supply system. The project work would include the construction of: the borehole, the pipeline system that distributes water to all the buildings of the leprosarium, the water tower and solar powered pumping system.
Taking into account the nature of the institution and their need in the certain amount of the clean water, the climate conditions of the region as well as the problems connected with the climate change and environment protection, our solution seems to be the most appropriate. The results of the relevant geophysical examination in the area show that the subterranean water catchment borehole execution is promising with regard to the water quantity and quality.
Hence, Madageo Company suggests considering the construction of the borehole with the solar powered pumping system. The solar powered system is easy in design, environment friendly, affordable in implementation and cheap with regard to the operating cost. It also has a lot of other advantages and becomes more and more popular with the customers.
In this regard, the main goal of the project is to reinforce the climate change resilience via potable water provision for the leprosarium, i.e. all the buildings on its territory. It also aims at the assurance of water provision during the extreme weather conditions, taking into account the water resources fragility in Haute Matsiatra – Fianaransoa region.
Keeping above mentioned in mind, Madageo Company, its engineers and specialists team, provides the Project of balanced leprosarium potable water supply execution.

Having fulfilled the geophysical examination of the area, we came to the conclusion that the borehole execution in the given area is possible and profitable. The boring, in accordance with the preliminary estimate, should be fulfilled to the depth of 52 or 58 meters. The estimated contract amount is: 96 386 386 ariary (€21 697), inclusive of goods and services tax of 0% rate (not taxable). The project is to be completed and commissioned within the timetabled deadline.
PAYMENT IN TWO INSTALLMENTS:
- 70% of total execution amount: 67 470 470,2 ariary (€15 187,9) paid at the time of the agreement settlement.
- 30% of total execution amount: 28 915 915,8 ariary (€6 509,1) after the project work completion.
